MODULE 04 / DELIVERY

Project Management Without the Clutter

If your team spends more time updating Jira tickets or configuring Monday.com boards than actually executing deliverables, your tool has become the product. Small, agile teams require visibility without bureaucracy.

The Law of Minimal Viable Tracking

We advocate for a strict adherence to Minimal Viable Tracking (MVT). A project management tool should track three things clearly:

  • Who is responsible?
  • What is the exact deliverable?
  • When is it due?

Tools like Trello, Linear (for software), or basic Notion databases handle MVT perfectly. They do not force arbitrary points systems, complex Gantt charts, or resource allocation matrices that belong in a 5,000-person enterprise.

The Migration Test

Before migrating away from a heavy PM tool, run a two-week trial using only a physical whiteboard (or a digital equivalent like standard text files). You will quickly discover which tracking features were essential, and which were just software bloat.
